A great evening was had on Saturday 5th October for our Race Night, raising important funds for the BASIG project (Build a School in Gambia). The grand total at the end of the ‘meet’ was a fantastic £1500. What a super result for the organisers, providing much needed funds for the various projects underway.

The evening was full of fun and of course, tensions were high (if the shouting at the screens was anything to go by!) as the horses finished by a nose. Everyone managed to keep their shirts though and enjoy the hot supper, licensed bar and good company with friends and family. For those that had some cash left after the 8 races, they were able to participate in the raffle, which raised an additional £250.

A big round of applause for an excellent evening of fun and entertainment must go to the organisers Julie, Helen and Karen. It was a great success. Special thanks to our kind sponsors, Crockatt Garage, First Point, Seager Home Solutions and Plumbmate.

Thank you to everyone who came and for your continued support
